To reduce possibility of smoking or soot build up > keep wick trimmed to 1/8 tall at all times.

Do not let matches > wick trimmings > or debris accumulate in the jar; this could be a fire hazard. Burn candles approx. 3 to 4 hours until surface is liquid.
